DevRadar is committed to protecting your privacy. We minimize data collection and never sell your personal information. This policy explains our practices in plain language.

What We Collect

For Anonymous Users (No Account)

You can use DevRadar's compatibility checker without an account. For anonymous usage, we collect:

  • Anonymous Usage Analytics: Page views, feature usage, and general interaction patterns. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.
  • Technical Information: Browser type, device type, and general location (country level) for service optimization.

We do not: Track the specific technology combinations you check, store your search history, or create anonymous user profiles.

For Registered Users

If you create an account, we additionally collect:

  • Account Information: Email address and display name from your authentication provider (Google).
  • Saved Projects: The technology stacks you save to your account for future reference.

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide the Service: Display your saved projects, personalize your experience.
  • Improve DevRadar: Understand how users interact with features to make improvements.
  • Security: Protect against abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
  • Communication: Send service-related emails (e.g., security alerts). We do not send marketing emails without consent.

Data Storage & Security

  • Infrastructure: We use Google Cloud Platform (Firebase) for data storage and authentication.
  • Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
  • Access Control: Only authorized personnel can access user data, and only when necessary for support or security purposes.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use third-party services (Firebase, analytics) that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and security (session management).
  • Preference Cookies: Remember your settings (e.g., dark mode).
  • Analytics: Anonymous usage analytics to improve the service.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

DevRadar is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
